Joe Martin is an artist living and working in North-Wales.
Joe Martin’s (b.2000, Germany) goal is to create works that envision our world in its most natural form. Martin is very interested in texture making with markers and cartography. With these two interests, he has been able to create detailed abstract landscapes that explore different aspects of nature. From waterfalls, rock formations, to a birds eye juxtaposition of imagined landmasses.
Being inspired by his home town and surroundings in Wales, Martin uses watercolour as his main medium to create large scale abstract landscapes such as, mountain valleys, waterfalls, coastlines, etc. with a minimalist approach, he uses marker pens to create texture and motion that envision rock faces, flowing water and mountain paths.
